Jackson was actually captured in between the battles of Raymond and Champion Hill. There is not much left of the Jackson battlefield to tour. Since I don't have battlefield pics I put it here in the order of campaign posts.
This is the Civil War era capital building.
The governor's office.
The House chamber where the state voted to secede.
The capitol dome and a few pictures of me playing with the zoom to get good closeups of the details.
Next to the capitol is this monument. The inside has a statue of Jefferson Davis. Could not get a good picture of it due to the glare.
