Bayou Fourche

On September 10th occurred the last battle of the Little Rock campaign.  At Bayou Fourche the Confederates fought a delaying action while the main part of the army retreated out of the city.  The Union eventually outflanked the undermanned Confederates.  This little park is right next to the airport which makes it very easy to tour on your way out of town.  The road the Union used to finally advance into Little Rock has now been covered by the airport complex but its not difficult to understand the ground.
