This website draws its information from Official Roster of the Soldiers of the State of Ohio in the War of the Rebellion, 1861 - 1866. The Werner PTG. and MFG. Co., Akron, Ohio, 1888. Volume VI, pages 708 - 717. Of this list of 36 men 10 are listed as having died within a month of the battle. This list though also reflects men who died of disease, not battle wounds.

ReplyDeleteIts amazing the errors I've found in rosters. Once I found a man listed as killed in one battle and then wounded in a battle several months later. I guess he served in the zombie company.
ReplyDeleteI have completed an audit ( 175 names ) and need to provide you with this list. Presently, it is in an Excel spread sheet. I'm not sure if you can work with that. I'm sure I can cut & paste to a Word document. Need to figure out how to get this to you without being captured by spies...
