Minnesota monument part 2 - views

I mentioned in Friday's post that the Minnesota monument offers nice views into Duncan Field, then I forgot to actually include any of them.

This is the view from the monument looking into the field. Ruggles Battery was along the far tree line in the center of the picture.
These next two pictures had their start at Fort Pillow. In the movie there I first saw pictures taken through the spokes of the wheels on a cannon. I liked the idea and have used it from time to time.

And here is a view from in front of Ruggles Battery looking towards the Minnesota monument. It is a little hard to see in this size, you may have to click on the picture to bring up the larger version to see it, but the Minnesota monument is in the treeline in the right third of the picture. The other two monuments are Iowa monuments, specifically the 7th and 12th Iowa.
